About

        Thanya Guevara's artwork consists of traditional, or formalistic drawings and paintings. Her piece, Water Buffalo, won the Ann West Hall Purchase Award, and is now a part of Stetson University's permanent collection. She have also been awarded a Scholastic's Gold Key for her piece, Assortment.

        For her undergraduate senior exhibition, she worked on paintings that depict fictional creatures designed with elements of fantasy and science fiction. Not wanting to blend in with the millions of artists who have painted standard mythological creatures such dragons and unicorns, she painted creatures that spawned from her own imagination.
